    Racing automation

Put the bonus bets you already hold to work automatically

B337 is software you run on your own computer. A racing session uses the bonus bets already in your own bookmaker accounts, places them only where the price clears the conversion threshold you set, and tracks conversion per session and per bookmaker.

Betting involves risk. Bookmakers can restrict or close accounts and void bets, automation can fail, prices move, and a positive expected value (+EV) bet can still lose. Promotions carry each bookmaker's own terms. There is no guarantee of profit. A bonus bet that loses pays nothing. See responsible gambling for limits and support.

    The maths

Why the price of a bonus bet matters

Bookmakers set their own terms for bonus bets, and the one that matters most is whether the stake comes back. When it does not (often worded as stake not returned), a winning bonus bet pays the winnings only. That single rule is why a bonus bet is worth less than a cash bet of the same size, and why the core of any bonus bet strategy is the price you use it at.

Example: a cash bet and a bonus bet at the same price

    A $50.00 cash bet and a $50.00 bonus bet, both at $5.00
    Outcome$50.00 cash bet$50.00 bonus bet
The runner wins: you are paid$250.00, winnings plus your stake$200.00, winnings only
The runner loses: you lose$50.00 of your own moneyThe bonus bet, but no cash
Example only: hypothetical round numbers at a price of $5.00. Not a current offer or a real race.

The missing stake costs the most at short prices, where it is a large share of what a win pays. At $2.00, a winning $50.00 bonus bet pays $50.00 where the same cash bet returns $100.00. At $11.00, it pays $500.00 against the cash bet's $550.00.

Conversion: one number for any price

Conversion puts a bonus bet at any price on one scale. It is the share of the bonus bet's face value you would keep whichever way the race goes if you hedged it with a lay bet on the Betfair exchange.

Conversion of a $50.00 bonus bet at four prices, laid at the same price
PriceA win paysKept either way if laidConversion
    $2.00$50.00$25.0050.0%
    $3.00$100.00$33.3366.7%
    $5.00$200.00$40.0080.0%
    $11.00$500.00$45.4590.9%
Example only: a $50.00 bonus bet at hypothetical prices, laid on the exchange at exactly the bookmaker's price, with no commission.

The table assumes the exchange lays the runner at exactly the bookmaker's price. A higher lay price or exchange commission lowers conversion, and a bookmaker price longer than the exchange's raises it. With 5% commission on exchange winnings (an example rate), the $5.00 row falls from 80.0% to 76.8%.

You do not have to hedge. Left alone, a bonus bet either pays its winnings or pays nothing. If the exchange price is a fair read of the runner's chance of winning, conversion is also roughly what a bonus bet at that price is worth on average over many bets, while any single one still wins or loses outright.

To run the numbers for a bonus bet you hold, including the lay stake and commission, use the bonus bet converter.

    Process

How the racing bot uses the bonus bets on your account

Bonus betting is part of the Classic Racing strategy. It runs in a session on your own computer and places bets in your own bookmaker accounts, on the rules you set.

    1. 01

      Connect accounts you already hold

Add your own bookmaker accounts with the logins you supply. One session is one logged-in account, running on your own computer.

    2. 02

      Set your bonus rules

Turn on bonus betting in the strategy, then set the odds range, the bonus stake and the conversion threshold. The main options are listed below.

    3. 03

It uses what the account holds

The session uses only bonus bets the bookmaker has already credited to that account, within the bookmaker's own rules. No bonus bet on the account means no bonus bet is placed.

    4. 04

It checks the price close to the jump

Close to the jump, the session compares the bookmaker's win price for each runner with the Betfair exchange price, across thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing, filtered as you choose. A bonus bet goes on only where the runner is inside your odds range and its conversion clears your threshold.

Bonus bets are issued by bookmakers under their own terms; B337 never creates or claims them. B337 is software you control: it is not a bookmaker, it does not take bets or hold betting funds, and your money stays in your own accounts.

The strategy as a whole, including promotions and price checks against Betfair, is covered on the horse racing betting bot page.

    Controls

    The bonus settings you control

Set once in the strategy, then applied to every bonus bet the session places.

    Odds range

The shortest and longest prices a bonus bet may go on. Short prices convert poorly; long prices lose more often, so results swing more.

    Conversion threshold

The lowest conversion, worked out against the Betfair price at the time, that the session accepts before it places a bonus bet.

    Max-conversion band

Optional. A ceiling that turns the threshold into a band, so the session takes the best runner inside the band.

    Bonus max stake

The most the session stakes on a bonus bet, and the total that stacking can build up to on one runner.

    Stacking to max stake

Where an account holds several smaller bonus bets, the session can place them on the same runner at the same or a better price until the total reaches your bonus max stake. Each is recorded as its own bet.

    When it runs

A look-ahead window, race type and country filters, several run windows a day, start and stop per session, and optional profit-kill and loss-kill that stop a session at a net profit or loss you set.

    Tracking

Conversion, tracked per session and per bookmaker

Every placement, price and settlement is recorded in your dashboard. For bonus bets that means the stake, the return and the conversion, tracked per session and per bookmaker, so you can compare accounts and settings on what actually happened.

Bets settle automatically from each bookmaker's own settled-bet list and official racing results. The results, summary and P&L views export to CSV, and a bet placed somewhere else can be added by hand so your records stay complete.

Running bonus bet sessions needs a paid plan

A free account opens a limited view of the Terminal. A plan that runs betting sessions adds:

    • Racing sessions that use the bonus bets in your own accounts, on the odds range, stake and conversion threshold you set
    • Betfair back and lay prices beside bookmaker prices on the full Terminal
    • Stake, return and conversion tracked per session and per bookmaker
    • Settlement from each bookmaker's settled-bet list and official racing results, with CSV export

    Questions about bonus bet automation

Does B337 give me bonus bets?

No. Bookmakers issue bonus bets under their own terms, and B337 never creates or claims them. A session only uses bonus bets a bookmaker has already credited to your own account. B337 is software: it is not a bookmaker, it does not take bets or hold betting funds, and your money stays in your own accounts.

    Is this automated matched betting?

Matched betting usually pairs a bet at a bookmaker with a lay of the same selection on an exchange, so the result is about the same whichever way the race goes, although prices can move between the two bets. What a B337 racing session automates is the bookmaker side for bonus bets: finding a runner whose conversion against the Betfair exchange price clears your threshold, and placing the bonus bet in your account. To work out a lay stake for any bonus bet, use the bonus bet converter.

What happens if no runner meets my rules?

Nothing is placed, and the bonus bet stays on your account until it is used or expires under the bookmaker's terms. A lower conversion threshold lets more runners qualify, at lower conversion, and a narrow odds range leaves fewer runners to choose from.

Will every bonus bet return the conversion I set?

No. The threshold is checked against prices at the moment of the bet, and prices move. A bonus bet that is not hedged either pays its winnings or pays nothing, so conversion is an average over many bets, not the result of any one. A short run can land well above or well below it.

Which bookmakers can I use it with?

Bonus betting runs inside a racing session, on accounts you hold with supported Australian bookmakers. The bookmakers page lists them. Support is not the same at every bookmaker, and each one sets its own bonus bet terms.

Can a bookmaker restrict my account?

Yes. Bookmakers can restrict or close accounts, including accounts that use automation, and can void bets. Many bookmakers' terms restrict or prohibit automated betting, so read them before you connect an account. You are responsible for checking that betting automation is lawful where you are.

Does my computer need to stay on?

Yes. Sessions run on your own computer, so it needs to be on, with the bot running, while they place bets. The bot runs on Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), macOS 11 or later on Apple Silicon (not Intel Macs), and Ubuntu 24.04 or Debian 13 and later, with 4GB of RAM and 500MB of free disk space.

    What does it cost?

Prices are on the pricing page. Bonus betting runs in an automated betting session, so it needs full betting access: not the read-only Terminal View, and not Terminal Pro, which places bets by hand.
