API reference
Logos and headshots
Team crests, league marks and player headshots, served by the API itself. No key, no tokens.
URLs
Images are served by this API, never a third-party link, so they keep working whatever the original host does. You normally do not build these URLs: use the logo_url and headshot_url fields on /sports, /teams, /players and each event's competitors.

- No key needed. Use the URL straight in an
<img src>. It is free on every plan. - Responses are cached for one week (
Cache-Control), so let the browser cache them rather than re-fetching. - The file name in a logo URL is an opaque hash: store the URL, not a name you made up.
- A few headshots and marks sit on our own storage host and the field links there directly.

A logo_url or headshot_url is null when we hold no image: show your own placeholder. A URL that answers 404 means the source no longer has the image; treat it the same way.
