    Getting started

    Limits

Request rates, WebSocket limits and how fresh a price is.

    Rate limits

    • 60 requests a minute per key, all REST endpoints together. Over it: 429 with Retry-After (seconds).
    • The demo key (Free plan): 10 requests a minute per IP, not metered, tier-1 books and main markets only.

    WebSocket limits

    • Included on Business and Enterprise: no token charge.
    • Business: up to 50 subscribed events per key (across its connections) and 3 connections per key.
    • Enterprise: up to 500 subscribed events and 20 connections per key.
    • An event over your cap comes back in subscribed.rejected with reason subscription_cap; a connection over your cap is closed with 1013. hello.limits shows your caps.
    • 10 connects a minute per key.

    Price freshness

Prices refresh as each book is re-read, so a card's age differs per book and per sport: seconds for fast books, up to about 20 minutes for slow ones. Use updated_at and age_seconds on each book; never assume one age for an event. There is no stale flag: judge freshness against your own tolerance.

Polling /odds faster than once a second returns the same body. Use the WebSocket.
